Here's the rundown of the rest of the project...
First I came up with a new 3D concept for the huge "tick"
On the first one I imagined it would look like a ribbon, but the client liked the 2nd one better

then I messed around some more with the background and thinned the 3D a bit

Then I tested out how the tick would look in different colors (mainly red and grey)

(the message on the image means "Happy Birthday", cause I got the job through my uncle and it was his b-day this weekend)

Final colors:
Tweaked different gradients, brightness and such... Insted of coloring every surface on the black letters, I decided to make the outlines brighter so they look shiny

Then, the client wanted to see what would it look like with puzzles in the background

Well, this is it for now, I'm gonna post the final version after the last tweaks (maybe the company's boss will like a different combination)

I like it so far.
Nice 3D effects.
Perspective is good mate.
You got some skills there Webbug.
One question.
Why the puzzles?
It's always good when designing a logo that everything has to have purpose.
Not only make it fancy looking.
When using a star or stripe or some other decoration. Ask yourself why you put it there.
If it's only to make it look good. Ask yourself if you would use it.

But first of all....
Compliments for this work mate.
Remember you are only sixteen years old.
It can only get better and better.

Thank you, that really cheered me up

and yea, I was against the puzzles as well but the client insisted to have puzzles
in so who am I to complain =P

I'm still working with them since they also want some flash components done for their site. I'm gonna try and get them to give up the bloody puzzles. Also 'Im gonna suggest different combinations for different uses (for example that they use only the red A as a simple logo signature, Adria in banners and such and the whole thing only where the whole name is needed)

Again, thanks for great replies, I truly appreciate it.

This is turning into a nice piece of work. Looks really professional.

I agree though if this was for a letterhead or business card you need something that is simplified or it will take up the whole page or the detail wont show when its scaled smaller.

Might be worth mocking up a few on an A4 page and Business card to give the client the idea of the scale. If you haven't done that already. My view would be that a simple logo without a background looks better on a professional letterhead.

Dont be too harsh when persuading the client against their will (I'm sure you wont). One of the best ways I've found in convincing someone to do what you want at work is to show them something that is waaaay better. That way they just forget the old thing completely.

Myth. ::D
